If you want to use the quilt as an expressive medium but sometimes have technical trouble translating your personal vision to the finished quilt, this workshop will give you an expanded toolbox of skills to help you construct the quilt you imagine. Topics covered include template-free curves, no-fail inset circles, sharp-angled insets, and reverse appliqué. You’ll also learn various ways of adding texture through fabric manipulation, make samples of special seams for working with translucent fabric (specifically the hand-sewn bojagi seam, the French seam and an adapted flat fell seam), and experiment with a variety of fusing adhesives. We’ll finish with (you guessed it) finishing: binding, facing, labels and hanging rod pockets. Lunch is included with this workshop. (Workshop price includes a $25 non-refundable registration fee.)
