How can you make a crazy quilt crazier? Add a few baskets full of scraps on top of it! In this workshop, early on the focus will be on fabric selection and design development. You will go through the exercise of finding balance while working with textures and colors of small to large scale prints. If you decide to work with solids, the emphasis will be on value and contrast. You will learn how to make the crazy quilt background with freeform blocks. Once some of the background is made, the focus will be on string pieced baskets and their handles. Not interested in baskets? Try bowls, vases, or something else. This workshop is a place to learn about scale, contrast, value, and selecting just the right fabric to brighten up the space.
