This piece was inspired by summer play. The get outside, lay on the grass and look up into the sky kind of summer day. The base cloth of woven cotton is a delicate pink color layered with a piece that Valori hand indigo dyed. The diamond block was hand carved and printed to add texture. Embroidered embellishments were added in bright colors to invoke feelings of summer clouds, sidewalk chalk and making the most out of summer days.
