Supply List: The Avenue
The Avenue is a combination of rotary and template cutting. Let Lawry show the tips to make gentle curves to create the trees. The trunks are appliquéd — either by hand or by machine, using the blind hem stitch on your machine. This a great time to use all those fat quarters lying about to get the scrappy look for your trees. The background fabrics are a combination of several fabrics which are all the same color, as creams, very close in value, and using a variety of prints. This combination is what gives this quilt it’s charm!
The Avenue is a 59” x 65” finished quilt consisting of 4 rows of 6 trees each. If you would like a smaller quilt, this is very easy to make smaller. For example, make 3 rows of 4 trees each and you would have a 30” x 42” quilt.
