RJ designed this pattern as a simpler version of her original jelly roll rug pattern for her 4 sisters who wanted in on the fun. All skill levels can participate in the joy of Jelly-Roll rug making! Detailed instructions are included on how to creat fabric tubes with batting and fabric strips, and then zig zag them together to form this colorful area rug.
1 Jelly-Roll (or 2 1/2" fabric strip roll with 40-42 pieces)
1 1/4 yards of thin 100% cotton batting (96" wide)
Batting Seam Tape
Size 14-18 Denim Sewing Machine Needle
1 Large Spool of Thread (at least 1200 yards) to blend or contrast with your fabrics

You will need a sewing machine that will make at least a 5mm wide Zig Zag. The sample used a 5.5mm zig zag stitch.
