Infinity Fan is a contemporary design inspired by a traditional Grandmother’s Fan quilt owned by quilt scholar Merikay Waldvogel. I made my version in scrappy strips with a tomato red background to emulate the original. The construction is a very simple paper piecing technique on a curved or straight paper foundation. You can make this quilt or design your own in any size and any configuration. This quilt is made up of 64 blocks; 44 curved fans and 20 straight sections.
