The Avenue is a lovely contemporary scrap quilt with a background that uses many different fabrics. The tree shapes are based on the Drunkard's Path block, with appliquéd trunks. This is a great stash busting project! Acrylic templates for the various pieces are included.
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
25 - Fat 16ths (or 10" squares) of fabric in a variety of colors and patterns for the trees and small border
18 - 20cm/8" cuts x full WOF (1/4 yards) in a variety of patterned creams for backgrounds, sashing, and outer border
10 small pieces 20cm x 10cm (8" x 4") of fabric for tree trunks
3.4m (3 3/4 yard) backing fabric
50cm (20" or 5/8 yard) binding fabric
1.8m (70") square wadding/batting
1/2" bias tape maker
You will also need: Sandpaper board and pencil, scissors, cotton thread to match, general sewing supplies, 8 wt Perle thread for quilting (optional)
