5-Day Workshop (includes lunches) Monday-Friday, August 20-24, 2018 - 9am-4pm
This class is an in depth investigation into the artistry and magic of the famous 20th century artist, Paul Klee. After looking closely at his amazing work, be inspired by his sensitive playfulness and enchantment to create a new whimsical or abstract quilt of your own. The class will be enhanced with slides and other exciting visual material. Techniques will include skinny-line piecing and working with sheers while focusing on abstract blocks, line and color.
Paul Klee used many different styles, and in this class you will choose one of these as your inspiration. Find a book on his work and look carefully at his color choice to help you select your fabrics. You will have a choice of working in sheers or transparencies to get the effect of watercolor, or in solids and hand-dyes. (Workshop price includes a $25 non-refundable registration fee.)
Balance of workshop fee is due six weeks before the workshop begins.
