Improv Blocks with Sheila Frampton Cooper - October 21-23, 2022 10 am - 3 pmRegular price$360.00
Students will create blocks to be used in a small or large piece. The blocks may vary in size and shape and can be very complex or quite simple. This is a great class for becoming comfortable with the process of creating without an initial plan, while at the same time, retaining a little structure.
Sheila will demonstrate construction techniques for sewing curved seams and discuss some of the challenges you may run into with spontaneous design and piecing.
"Whether I am painting, drawing or piecing a studio quilt, moving headfirst into the unknown fuels my creativity," Sheila said. "I relish all the surprising discoveries along the way as the journey starts to reveal itself to me."
Since embarking on her fiber art adventure, Sheila has won awards at major quilt shows. Her work has been exhibited in the United States, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom China, and Japan.
Lunch is included in the registration.
