The Royal Botanic Garden & Rose Street - Edinburgh, Scotland

Jean & John's visit to Scotland, continued...

We visited the Royal Botanic Gardens, in Edinburgh, Scotland. The highlight was seeing two Andy Goldsworthy installations. He is one of my favorite artists, he does outside installation with natural materials from Scotland.

The Queen’s Cottage which is one room in a fabulous little building is completely collaged in sea shells on the walls and a variety of pine cones on the ceiling.

Directly behind our small hotel, right on the main avenue across the street from the castle was a narrow street, “Rose Street.” It was full of pubs, cafes, a bakery, and street art. We ate at Jamie Oliver's Italian cafe and were waited on by a young Lithuanian man who was very charming.
