Designer Shell Rummel's newest fabric collection showcases the various techniques she uses when creating with watercolors and inks. From finely pointed watercolor brushes that allow a level of detail akin to working with a fine-tipped ink pen to sweeping lush sable brushes that leave a broad pool of color behind, Brushstrokes celebrates the depth and breadth of her painting style. Her aim is to achieve that beautiful balance between saturated color, watery washes, and controlled brushwork. From pattern to pattern, Shell harnesses the often-mysterious fluidity of painting with water, honoring both loose, flowing designs and accentuating delicate, intricate details.
