Though this quilt may seem to need precise piecing, Scott from Blue Nickel Studios designed this in his typical prescriptive improv style. Measurements are given for construction in the pattern, but each block has room for quirky little imperfections.  Each of the two blocks have the same pieces but the orientation of these pieces can create a never-ending source of movement.  How you place colors and value in this quilt is not difficult. You can highlight certain areas or not, and no matter how you lay things out, the effect will be mesmerizing.
 
This quilt is equally at home in traditional or modern fabric schemes. Make it scrappy or make it from your favorite designer’s fabric only for a more controlled palette. Anything really goes in this quilt. A true graphic punch appears when you concentrate on high contrast colors and values. However, more muted colors, shades, and tints work perfectly well also.
