A beloved and age-old quilt pattern, Mariner’s Compass, is the focus of this class. Colleen will get you started by making a block using a specific ruler designed by a quilter from the state of Washington.  Robin Ruth Designs has expanded her patterns and beautiful quilts based on her rulers and techniques.

Colleen will start with the construction of one block.  She recommends starting with a 12” – 16” size block for ease of construction.  Students will work with strips of fabric, and variation in color and value add to the success of the blocks.  Learning this technique will provide a sturdy base to work your way to the finished quilt.
