Teacher Bio: Click here
The Summer Solstice pattern uses log cabin blocks and curves to create an overlapping mountain range rising above a set of curves that evoke either the sun or the moon. This intermediate or advanced beginner pattern comes together faster than you’d expect, and isn’t too challenging as long as you handle the bias edges carefully. If you consider yourself an advanced or confident beginner and are ready to handle curves, this pattern is a great choice! In this class we will particularly focus on sewing curves, sub-cutting large blocks, and managing biased edges. We will construct the throw top of the pattern, though if desired you can choose to make the baby size instead.
