We are excited to present the artwork of Sisters artist Dan Rickards’s 2020 Quilt Show poster, celebrating the theme, “My Kind of Town.” Dan has made his living as an artist since 1991, with a special focus on landscape and wildlife painting. Most often he uses acrylics and paints with a fine, realistic style, “loose, with a small brush,” with stunning detail in the area of focus. His love and concern for the environment is evident in every work he completes. Of the 2020 Quilt Show poster, Dan says “Although I believe that we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, it’s the supportive community and our growing family that inspired me to represent Sisters as “our kind of town.”
