We are excited to present the artwork of Central Oregon artist Cheryl Chapman for our 2024 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show poster, celebrating the theme, “Dreamscapes.”

About the artist:
I am a fused glass enamel artist and have been working with glass in many forms for over 30 years. I have been enameling on glass since 2007 using high fire opaque glass enamels.
Most of my work is done using a reverse process and takes multiple stages of painting and firing. You are viewing the final image through the glass that it was painted on. Each piece starts with an original drawing and will go through as many as five kiln firings before it is finished.
My paintings reflect my love for animals and nature with a twist of whimsy. I am inspired by the local landscape as well as animals including dogs, cats, foxes, hares, fish and birds.
