The Star Galaxy quilt is made up of many stars, with a border of flying geese. The star blocks range in sizes - 4," 6," 12," and 16" finished blocks. The pattern starts with the easier stars and progresses towards the more difficult ones. This quilt was originally a block of the months quilt, so you will find the patterns grouped as "Kit 1, Kit 2," etc.
Materials Needed:
1/2 - 3/4 yards of approximately 16 - 20 different fabrics
(If there are some fabrics you like more than others, you can get a yard of them.)
5 yards backing fabric
1 yard binding
76" x 94" quilt batting
(Since this is a scrappy quilt that uses a variety of blues and whites, we suggest you get at least this many fabrics to work with. Start with the mediums to darks, and add 4 to 6 backgrounds to these.)
