Description:
Explore the amazing world of half-rectangle triangles as you make a throw-sized "super scrappy" Repair quilt. The Repair design is inspired by a concept in certain cultures that emphasizes imperfection and creating beauty from what is broken. Specifically, this idea is illustrated in Japanese culture through the stunning artform of Kintsugi—also known as kintsukuroi, which translates to “golden repair”—and in Judaism through tikkun olam—Hebrew for “repair the world.” That we can choose to see brokenness as opportunity is a wonderfully healing thought, it only requires the vision to see what’s possible to make from the broken pieces. Brooke will share tips and walk you through the two-at-a-time construction of half rectangle triangles - which may become your new favorite building block for modern quilts. This quilt is a fabulous way to use fat quarters, and even let loose with some improv cutting.
Cancellation Policy:
Stitchin' Post and Quilter's Affair class registration is limited to one seat per customer per class. You can register for more than one class at a time.
Making any changes to a Stitchin' Post or Quilter's Affair class at any time after registration will incur a 10% change fee. For Quilter's Affair classes, cancellations must be made by May 31st each year for a 90% refund*. Cancellation after May 31st forfeits all registration monies paid.
*Your receipt will show a full refund minus a 10% “restocking fee”.
On occasion, Stitchin' Post will cancel a class due to lack of registration. If Stitchin' Post cancels this class, you may take a store credit, transfer to another class, or request a full refund.
