Class Description:
Japanese Sashiko stitching is an ancient, easy-to-learn stitching practice that can be used to adorn your work. Included is a brief history of sashiko and the values it represents.
Using Susan Briscoe’s book, Sashiko 365, you will practice stitching techniques. We will cover fabric preparation and pattern transfer for your project, be that a daily stitching practice or quilt block preparation, using the 365 different patterns in Susan’s book. You can certainly use these patterns for all manner of other stitching projects, such as bags or garments.
Cancellation Policy:
Stitchin' Post and Quilter's Affair class registration is limited to one seat per customer per class. You can register for more than one class at a time.
Making any changes to a Stitchin' Post or Quilter's Affair class at any time after registration will incur a 10% change fee. For Quilter's Affair classes, cancellations must be made by May 31st each year for a 90% refund*. Cancellation after May 31st forfeits all registration monies paid.
*Your receipt will show a full refund minus a 10% “restocking fee”.
On occasion, Stitchin' Post will cancel a class due to lack of registration. If Stitchin' Post cancels this class, you may take a store credit, transfer to another class, or request a full refund.
