Buzzed Birds Quilt Pattern

Latifah has put a fresh spin on the traditional Birds In the Air quilt block. This pattern features foundation paper pieced Half-Rectangle Triangles placed on the diagonal. Two different background fabrics give it a fresh look and feel. She designed this pattern as part of a challenge with Free Spirit Fabrics, and was inspired by the classic yet fresh look of Denyse Schmidt's quilts, the beautiful color palette of the DS Modern Solids, and the traditional Birds in the Air quilt block.
