Dancing Diamonds ... Plan on using different color combinations of fabrics for the individual diamonds. We selected blues and combined those strips for a blue diamond, reds for another diamond, and so on. Background fabrics include some that are sewn together into strip sets and some that remain one piece of solid fabric. For a smaller version, use six strip sets, and plan on having four large diamonds plus two half-diamonds on each side. This would be a 48" x 48" quilt.

Materials:
1/4 yard each of 20 different fabrics for the diamonds 
     (Note: 1/4 yard will give you 5 strips, and you need a total of 96 - 1 1/2" strips)
2/3 yard each of 4 different solid backgrounds for the larger background triangles
1/3 yard each of 5 different print fabrics for the pieced backgrounds
1/2 yard binding fabric
4 1/2 yards backing fabric
70" x 78" quilt batting 
Plastic or freezer paper for template
