Playing with an odd assortment of fabrics and having them actually work together is really fun! This table runner is the result of Tonye being away from her stash and stuck with only these fabrics. She needed a project, so she started cutting out a few squares from each fabric and laying them out together. Adding the circles helped break up the busyness of the piece.

MATERIALS FABRIC:

Prints - at least 15-20 of various colors, geometrics, stripes, florals, dots etc. Change up the scale of the prints from small to large.

Solids - a variety of colors for blocks and circles. The blocks are cut 4 1/2” so make sure you have enough if you are using scraps. Otherwise a mix of fat quarters works well. 1/4 yard polka dot or other fabric for each end.

Backing - 20 1/2” x 62 1/2” Batting - 20 1/2” x 62 1/2” thin, 100% cotton (I have also used flannel as the batting for a flatter look)

NOTIONS:
Optional: Karen Kay Buckley’s “Bigger” Perfect Circles
(These circle templates are great for prepping your appliquéd circles)

#8 Eleganza Perle Cotton - black or other dark color #24 Chenille Needle
