Moths, owls, foxes and other woodland creatures frolic with flowers and textural prints in Jennifer Moore's Under the Canopy and Moonlit collections for Windham fabrics. This new lines are a celebration of color, and reflects her search for a deep, rich palette that felt like home. The Mixed Bag pattern has you cut down 64 of the the 10" x 10" squares to 8 1/2" x 8 1/2", then use the remaining fabrics for the appliquéd patches. Instructions in the pattern call for tuning under the patches 1/4", then topstitching, but we eliminated the turn-under allowance and used fusible appliqué instead, finished with a machine buttonhole stitch. Whichever way you choose to do the appliqués, this is a fun project with a lot of color and texture.

Kit includes the pattern and everything you need to make the quilt top, including binding. 

To complete this quilt, you will need:

72" x 72" batting
