It is with great pleasure we present the artwork of Dan Rickards for our 2014 poster, “It Takes A Village.” Since 1991, Dan, a Sisters resident, has made his living as an artist, with a focus on landscape and wildlife paintings. His love and concern for the environment is evident in his work. In 2013 Dan released the first of his National Park Series, “Unfolding Light,” Yosemite National Park. As a gallery and business owner in Sisters and long-time supporter of the Quilt Show, Dan embraced the theme “It Takes A Village,” bringing to life the many aspects of community that transform this town during Quilt Show week.
