Required: Sewing Machine
In this fun workshop we will have a technique to master — curvy seams. We will be sewing curvy seams without the need of pins or clipping the fabric. You will have this technique figured out and be able to use this method on other projects with curved seams.
We will be making 5 tree blocks for this table runner. You can make your trees either all one color or pick a color and select several fabrics with same value and color for the trees. Scraps will work fine for the trees. Tree trunks are cut from a fabric that needs to be at least an 8” square.
The finished blocks are 8 1/2” x 10 1/2”. Sashing strips are added between the blocks along with a narrow border which makes the finished size of the table runner 16 x 52”.
We will talk about machine quilting it and give you a few ideas for finishing it.
