If you want to use the quilt as an expressive medium but sometimes have technical trouble translating your personal vision to the finished quilt, this workshop will give you an expansive toolbox of skills to help you construct the quilts you imagine. You'll practice the techniques you'll need to build those quilts: template-free curves, no-fail inset circles, sharp-angled insets, reverse applique. You'll also learn various ways of adding texture through intriguing methods of fabric manipulation, experiment with a variety of fusing adhesives, and make samples of special seams for working with translucent fabric (specifically both hand and machine sewn versions of the Korean bojagi seam). We'll finish with (you guessed it) finishing: applying rod pockets, binding, and facing. You'll leave with a fabulous sample book of techniques and confidence to start your next quilt.
