Paint Chips Quilt Pattern
Finished quilt size: 52" x 73"
Designer: Karla Alexander of Saginaw Street Quilts
Type: Printed Quilt Pattern
This quilt was a fun experiment replicating paint chips that had been tossed aside from a former painting project. Months later, Karla found the snapshot and decided to use it as an idea for quilt. Her intention was to create blocks that looked like paint chips stacked on top of one another. Of course, this would have resulted in numerous different sized squares and rectangles for what seemed like a simple block. Therefore, she surmised that a freehand cutting method would work best for cutting the fabric in to blocks to avoid a long list of different measurements. So, don't be surprised when you are unable to find exact measurements in the pattern. the instructions will guide you through the cutting process, with all of the blocks being cut from a simple rectangle.
Karla used all solid fabrics in the quilt, however small to medium scale prints will work as well. Choose a variety of fabrics with good contrast to facilitate your success--and enjoy!
