The Protector

He began in fury.

Layer upon layer of angry crows scratched beneath the surface— the anger I was taught to bury, the rage that was never safe to speak. But from that storm, he rose. Not shouting, not breaking— but shielding. Not hiding, but guarding what matters.

He stands tall above my bed, as a watcher over my heart. His wing drawn in—not to shut out love, but to protect the soul inside.

He is not angry. He is the keeper of my anger.

The part that knows it is sacred, that it speaks in truth, not shame. And every time I look at him, he reminds me:

You don’t have to be afraid of your fire.
